This house in Raleigh was a real challenge. We began by tearing out a MULTI-layered sub-floor which had solid plank wood, vinyl, tile and everything else you can think of! After we finally got everything torn out and rebuilt to level we began the install. We installed 3/4" x 8" wide Southern Yellow Pine in 12' lengths! Working with wood of this size is difficult because it's so bulky and heavy. But when we finally got it all down, sanded and finished it looked awesome and really tied the house together!

I know we had some disagreements, and ours was not the easiest, nor smoothest job you have ever done. I really appreciate the professional way you and your "floor guys" handled everything, even when I know you were frustrated. It was obvious that you are a true businessman, and that you put the customer first. I am very happy with how the floor turned out, and to me, the quarter-round that is on now looks much better. I apologize if I am picky, but that's not the first time I've been told that.

I also appreciated the way everything was cleaned up and locked up at the end of the day, and that you were timely in you arrivals. So many times, when you have work done, that is the most frustrating thing--the people are never there when they say they will be. This was definitely not the case with you, and I appreciate that. This remodel in Cary was the second job I've done for this contractor. We installed 200 SF of new flooring, we sanded down an existing 100SF, then we stained and covered it all to match. It looks beautiful when we finished and the contractor and the home owner were happy.

This repair job in Cary was the first job I've done for this new builder. The original floor guy he hired made a mess of the floor and he called me in to fix it. I re-sanded the botched floor and it all looked beautiful when I got finished.

This job was interesting because we re-sanded an engineered floor. That is always tricky because you could run out of real wood on top! We cut it close but got it done. We put a stain on it and covered with high Traffic waterborne formula and it looked great!

"I started a remodeling project on the interior of my home a couple of months ago and hired a decorator to manage the project. As part of the project, the carpet was to be removed from my family room and replaced with hardwood flooring. The new hardwood flooring would abut the existing hardwood flooring in my foyer and breakfast area.

The goal was to make the new hardwood-flooring look as if it was part of the original installation that was done when I had the house built, i.e., flush with the old flooring, laid around the fireplace hearth, vents had to be wood and match flooring.

I met Lawrence when he was doing some work for a neighbor and asked him if he would be willing to talk with my decorator.

Lawrence worked with the decorator to select quality flooring that matched the dark border that was inlaid in the foyer with the light hardwood. He was very professional and did a quality job. He had an excellent crew and the work was finished on time with very little disruption. He made sure the area was cleaned up after the job and the floor was cleaned.

I have a couple of friends that had new hardwood floors installed recently and both are having problems because the material was not left inside their homes to acclimate to the new environment. Lawrence insisted that the new hardwood material stay in my home for seven days before installation. In fact, I tried to get him to leave it for just five days but he said the material needed seven days to acclimate.

My son has started a remodeling project on his home in Charlotte, NC and I recommended Lawrence for his project.

It was a pleasure doing business with Lawrence.
