This was a log cabin that was build by Lief Harris of Unfinished Spaces; we've done several homes for him they always look great.

On this project we installed 8" solid-plank Hickory.  Hickory is a fairly dense and durable wood with a good bit of variety in color.

We installed these huge planks using a screw and peg system.  Then we finished with three coats of clear polyurethane.  The screw and peg system was a long, expensive and painstaking process but the finale results add a touch of class that you just can't get any other way.

Working with unusual products and houses is a challenge that I enjoy.

 For this house in Cary we installed a 3/4" x 2 1/4", solid-plank oak, pre-finished flooring.

The quality of today's pre-finished flooring is outstanding.  The warranties are excellent, the finishes are super tough and the overall cost is actually lower than traditional site-finished flooring.

In this house in Raleigh we install 3/8" x 3" engineered flooring.  We glued it down over the existing plywood.  We also installed a mitered border around the hearth for a touch of distinction.

Engineered flooring has a thin layer of real wood on top, glued to a plywood substrate.  It can be stapled or glued over plywood and it's ideal for gluing to a slab.

With engineered, you get the look, the feel and the durability of real wood; but often at lower prices.

For the La Residence Restaurant & Bar in Chapel Hill we nailed down a 3" solid plank Brazilian Rosewood.  Rosewood is a rich, beautiful and very dense floor.  With the high traffic that they get, they'll need a tough floor!

The flooring they had previously was still structurally stable but very deteriorated.  It was not worth re-sanding and not durable enough to meet their high-traffic needs.

For this house in Cary, we tore out all the existing tile in the master bathroom and replaced it with an updated look.  We installed 12" x 12" ceramic tile on the floor with 4" ceramic cove base.  We covered the shower floor, the shower wall and wrapped the entire tub in 6" x 6" tile, including accent pieces.  We also re-sanded all the floors in the house and installed a tile backsplash in the kitchen.

The finished work looked terrific and it added tremendous value the house!

We work with a variety of porcelain, ceramic and natural stone tiles.

This house in McGregor Downs, in Cary, had existing Heartpine floors that needed a re-sand and some repair work after a kitchen remodel.  We re-sanded it and covered with three coats of clear polyurethane.  After that it was as good as new again!

In the JustSleep store on Six Forks Rd in Raleigh we install a vinyl plank flooring.  We glued to to the slab.  Vinyl plank looks great and lasts for a long, long time even under commercial traffic.

I just love the natural looking grain patterns in this selection of flooring.

One of the contractors I do a lot of work, Mike Keating #919-636-0293, does a lot of his work inside the beltline.

For this house on Georgetown, in the Five Points area, we did a full install, sand and finish.  We used a mid-tone stain with a hint of red and used a semi-gloss polyurethane finish.

We also did a full staircase here and everything looked beautiful!

We also replace and resand stair treads, risers and hand railing.
